Fall Detox

A Fall detox will keep your immune system healthy and protected you from colds by preparing your organs for the colder month.

Start with a colonic so by the time you go into your detox, you won’t have all this “stuff” sitting in your digestive system causing you discomfort.

During your detox or water fast, all these things will start to soften. That is why I recommend doing a colon cleanse during and after your cleanse as well, to help remove what’s been released.

The whole point of doing a detox is cleaning EVERYTHING out and taking your health to the next level.

5 day Cleanse

Ideally, you are removing sugar, wheat and alcohol from your diet.The most simple and effective foods to eat are those that do not come in a box, bag, can or jar. Essentially, whole foods plucked right from our earth.

Stick with fall fruits and vegetables. I personally like fruit juice in the morning and vegetable juices in the afternoon, i will have 1 meal a day with yummy fall vegetables. Cooked and raw vegetables, leaf greens, squash and some cooked root vegetables, towards the end i start introducing whole grains. Stay away from sweets and animal foods and stay on a plant diet for minimum of 5 days. If juice is to cold for you, you can always do soups, squash soup, pumpkin soup etc.

Remember when your mom told you to eat something green every day? Do it. And make sure some are leafy greens like kale, spinach, arugula and even wheatgrass or blue green algae. The chlorophyll will boost your digestive tract to eliminate toxins.

Avocado, olive oil and flax seed oil are high in Omega-3s which help lube up the intestinal walls and absorb the toxins.

Garlic it may be stinky, but by just adding raw or cooked garlic to your food you’re helping to filter out residual toxins.

LOTS and LOTS of H2O, if you want your liver to perform at its highest potential in processing toxins, water is essential. For the average adult, 2 litres of water (preferably filtered, if possible) will be most beneficial.


Exercice, walk make your body move.

If juicing is difficult for you, we can always recommend package store cleanses,  however i will stick with a plant diet for the full cleanse time.

SIBO Can not be starved just with a diet, it must be killed and the cause needs to be addressed in order to heal. The element diet is an exception, it has shown some efficacy to starve out the overgrowth bacteria, because it is a therapeutic treatment and not a long term diet.

You need to feed the SIBO in order to kill it, alive bacteria is much more sensitive to Antibiotics and easier to kill. It is important to eat lots of fermented foods during the treatment to keep the bacteria active for the antibiotics effectively take downs this buggers.

Your treatment can not be only focus on diet, the root cause needs to be fixes. Make sure you find a SIBO DOCTOR. (Naturopath Physician) that is special trained to deal with SIBO.

All this diets should only be used on a short term ( Fast tract, Low FODMAP, or SCD, because they the total bacteria load in the GI tract what can make you feel confortable for a period of time, this diets should not be used for longer then 3 month so you do not run the risk of creating new problems.

Long term use of this diets with SIBO:

  • Reductions of good bugs – Reducing bifidobacterium and total microbiota in the GI tract, this can lead to gut dysfunction, Bifidobacterium is essential for healthy microbiome.
  • Overfeeding 1 bacteria and starve the others.
  • Become malnourished. 
  • When you starve the bacteria, they start eating you, by eating the important immunological barrier in your gut.
  • Low carb and fruit diet can lead to Thyroid malfunction.

What is Heartburn

– Heartburn pain is often worse when you laying down or bending over.
Sometimes you can feel it up your throat, regurgitation and stomach ache.

Heart problems can feel like heartburn, it is important to check with your doctor if increases in frequency, severe symptoms could be related to underlying causes.

Low stomach acid can cause acid reflex, bacterial buildup, inability to kill other unhealthy bacteria, and many more problems.

When this symptoms are treat with antacids, there can be a initial relief however more problems can result because they inhibit the body’s ability to produce HCL. Without the proper amount of HCL the sanitation of food is in risk. Uncontrolled yeast and bacteria can result. Antacids trigger the lower stomach to release more acid, requiring more antacids, this will exhaust the cells of the stomach and eventually they become unable to produce acid.

Many antacids contain aluminium compounds and can cause long term calcium depletion contributing to osteoporosis.


Why it happens

The backing of the acid reflux is acid reflux, this can be caused by many factors like low stomach acid. Contrary to what people were trained to believe indigestion is usually caused by low stomach acid.

Normal acidity levels cause the esophageal sphincter to close off keeping food in its proper place.

We are causing more problems by suppressing or neutralizing acid to stop heartburn symptoms. Antacids may cause a vicious cycle of heartburn problems, they are not a cure for what causes these problem in the first place. the problem with lowering the the production of HCL is that indigestion, heartburn, ulcers, may not be caused by an over-production of acid but rather by an under-production.

We need to think in ways to increase the acid, have a more healthy diet , and keep the esophageal sphincter from leaking acid to the esophagus.

Surrey Colon Hydrotherapy

A colonic is the infusion of water into the rectum by a colon hydrotherapist to cleanse and flush out the colon. It is also called colon hydrotherapy or colon irrigation or colon flash and some times colon cleanse.

A typical session lasts 45 minutes to one hour
The session begins by filling out a client information form and discussion of your health history.

The Colon Hydrotherapist will complete a health history form with you. You will change into a disposable shorts and lie face up on a treatment table.

The colon hydrotherapist inserts a disposable speculum into the anus.
The speculum is connected to a long disposable plastic hose connected to the colon hydrotherapy unit.
Several cycles of warm, filtered water is slowly released into the colon. The water causes the muscles of the colon to contract, called peristalsis. Peristalsis “pushes” feces out through the hose to be disposed of in a closed waste system.
The client and the colon therapist do not smell the feces. The therapist usually looks at the feces through the clear tube on the machine, and may comment on the color, indigested food, etc.

The client typically is relaxed, some people can feel some discomfort in the abdomen similar with a diarrhea feeling during the Colon Hydrotherapy.
The colon hydrotherapist may apply light massage to the client’s abdominal area to facilitate the process and promote release of fecal matter.

After the session the client may sit on a toilet to pass any residual water and stools.

Ah, the Thanksgiving feast, where the number of dishes—and your family’s ability to sneak butter and cream into every dish—reinforce the themes of abundance and gratitude. You’ve just consumed more calories in a long weekend than you do all month.

If you are like me you stuffed your face on Thanksgiving, and now you feel disgusting, bloated and heavier.

We are starting fresh with a day-after-Thanksgiving detox plan. But it doesn’t mean you have to go on a ten-day Juice-clenase.

1. Lemon water. You might be tired (or even a little hungover…)- When you wake up, don’t immediately reach for coffee. Instead, have warm water with lemon.The lemon kick starts digestion (and your metabolism) and helps flush the liver.”

2. Green juice. After your lemon water, follow it up with a fresh green juice.

3. Cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol, and caffeine. Yes, this is quite a list. But if lemon water isn’t cutting it for you, consider the elimination-diet route, where you give your body a break from pumpkin pie. “All of these ingredients—and Thanksgiving favorites—can create a toxic buildup,”. Try cutting them from your diet for five to seven days after the holiday to reboot your system

4.Colonic. A colonic is the safe process of removing accumulated fecal matter, mucus and sludge and toxic build-up from the colon without the usig of drugs, by gently rinsing the colon with warm water.

it’s important to remember that if you overdo it at dinner, you must get back to a healthy eating plan the next day



• ⅔ cup unsweet almond milk
• ¼ cup egg whites
• 1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
• 1 tablespoon chia seed
• 1 teaspoon gluten-free pure vanilla extract
• 10 drops stevia or 2 tbsp xylitol (or other natural sweetener)
• ⅔ cup chickpea flour or coconut flour
• 1 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves

Combine almond milk and chia and allow to sit for 10 minutes – this will get the chia all gelatinous and good for your digestion. Alternatively, allow the chia to soak overnight in the milk, then add to the recipe.
Preheat a small non-stick pan on medium-low heat for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then add to the wet ingredients.
Stir until just mixed.

Pour ¼ of the mixture into the preheated pan. Allow the first side to cook for 3-4 minutes, or until bubbles form and the edges begin to turn golden.

Flip and allow to cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Place completed pancake on cooling rack and repeat with remaining batter.
Serve with melted coconut oil, maple syrup,  chopped apple and pecans.


Colon Irrigation

This method of colonic targets dysbiosis, or the disturbance in the natural relationship between humans and their intestinal bacteria. In order to strengthen and develop this cohabitation, we use bacterial preparations, administered orally or rectally, in order to optimise the milieu of the large intestine.

Importance of intestinal flora

Due to problems, such as poor nutrition, processed food, and an unhealthy lifestyle, environmental impacts, toxic medical substances, such as antibiotics, or psychological burdens, such as stress, the equilibrium of bacteria in the body is disrupted. The increasing use of antibiotics has a particularly negative effect, by preventing the body’s tissues from detoxifying correctly, including a slagging in the intermediate cell tissues, thickening and accumulation of protein in the lymph and surrounding areas, and decreased oxygen supply to the body’s tissues. As a result, the body’s tissues are unable to detoxify correctly.

Fatigue, depression, loss of energy, lack of concentration, increased aggressiveness and negative psychological conditions can be the result of a poorly maintained intestine. Illnesses, such as susceptibility to infections, constipation, respiratory problems and sleep disturbances can also develop from the same cause. Chronic inflammation disorders, such as rheumatism, poly-arthritis, skin inflammations, psoriasis and acne are also consequences, as well as circulation disturbances, such as high blood pressure, migraines and other cardiovascular problems.

The majority of allergies are directly related to the non-functioning of the intestines, since the intestine, with its over 300m2 surface, is the largest mucous membrane surface of the human body. For this reason, most poisonous materials, absorbed by the body, pass through the intestines and are expelled through the intestines. The liver, kidney, lymph, lungs and skin surface are all secondary as organs of detoxification.

Stress, whether psychological or physical, affects the muscle tension of the intestines, leading to cramps and inflammatory changes of the intestinal mucosa, and even ulcerative colitis (colitis ulcerosa).

Functions of the large intestine

The main responsibility of the large intestine is absorption of water, minerals and vitamins. Another function is, as described above, the elimination of toxic material. In most cases, it is the intestinal bacteria, which lines the whole large

intestine like a fine film that distinguishes between what the intestines should eliminate or absorb. The large intestine is populated with several billion coli-bacteria and other bacteria, which synthesize vitamins, such as biotin, folic acid, nicotine acid and vitamin K, while preventing toxic material from being absorbed, and, above all, destroy foreign or disease-causing bacteria. The functional intestinal flora is irreplaceable for the absorption of vitally necessary amino acids, fatty acids and other trace elements.
A healthy nutrition is super important for high-functioning intestinal flora. How does Colon Hydrotherapy work?

Filtered water, adapted to the comfort of the patient, is introduced into the rectum through an intestinal tube. Then, in a closed system, using low pressure, the water and dissolved intestinal contents are released through a discharge hose. All of this is accompanied by a massage of the lower abdomen.

The colonic successfully expels stagnant stool and rotten material, which has accumulated along the walls of the intestines over time. As a result, the overall functioning ability of the intestines increases considerably, thereby improving its detoxification ability.

Throughout the treatment, which generally takes 30-45 minutes, the patient remains relaxed, in a lying position, while enjoying a gentle massage of the lower abdomen.

Through this strong vegetative stimulus, the intestines begin to work again and peristalsis is promoted. In this way, colon hydrotherapy positively affects stool regulation and the functioning of the vegetative nervous system, extending far over the treatment cycle. The system used for this procedure is closed, and the treatment is completely clean.

After the colon irrigation, drink plenty of water, tea or bouillon to replace the fluids that were expelled through colonics.

Difference Between Enema And Colon Hydrotherapy ?

Colonics and enemas are therapies that both involve introducing water into the colon through to rectum in order to cleanse the colon.But there are some key differences between colonics and enemas:

Colon Hydrotherapy cleanse the entire length of the colon. Enemas cleanse only the lower part of the colon, the sigmoid and part of the descending colon.

Colonics involve multiple infusions of water into the colon. Enemas involve a single infusion of water into a small portion of the colon creating more presser.

• With colonics, fecal matter leaves the body via a tube. The therapist and client does not smell the fecal matter during the session.

• At the end of the session, the client usually sits on a toilet, and usually passes any residual water and stools.

• An enema involves the one-time infusion of water. It sits in the lower part of the colon for a period of time, and then the person sits on the toilet.

Colonics must be administered by a trained colon hydrotherapist and requires professional equipment.

Enemas do not have to be administered by a professional. Disposable enema kits are available in drugstores and online.
