Surrey Colon Hydrotherapy
A colonic is the infusion of water into the rectum by a colon hydrotherapist to cleanse and flush out the colon. It is also called colon hydrotherapy or colon irrigation or colon flash and some times colon cleanse.
A typical session lasts 45 minutes to one hour
The session begins by filling out a client information form and discussion of your health history.
The Colon Hydrotherapist will complete a health history form with you. You will change into a disposable shorts and lie face up on a treatment table.
The colon hydrotherapist inserts a disposable speculum into the anus.
The speculum is connected to a long disposable plastic hose connected to the colon hydrotherapy unit.
Several cycles of warm, filtered water is slowly released into the colon. The water causes the muscles of the colon to contract, called peristalsis. Peristalsis “pushes” feces out through the hose to be disposed of in a closed waste system.
The client and the colon therapist do not smell the feces. The therapist usually looks at the feces through the clear tube on the machine, and may comment on the color, indigested food, etc.
The client typically is relaxed, some people can feel some discomfort in the abdomen similar with a diarrhea feeling during the Colon Hydrotherapy.
The colon hydrotherapist may apply light massage to the client’s abdominal area to facilitate the process and promote release of fecal matter.
After the session the client may sit on a toilet to pass any residual water and stools.

Ah, the Thanksgiving feast, where the number of dishes—and your family’s ability to sneak butter and cream into every dish—reinforce the themes of abundance and gratitude. You’ve just consumed more calories in a long weekend than you do all month.
If you are like me you stuffed your face on Thanksgiving, and now you feel disgusting, bloated and heavier.
We are starting fresh with a day-after-Thanksgiving detox plan. But it doesn’t mean you have to go on a ten-day Juice-clenase.
1. Lemon water. You might be tired (or even a little hungover…)- When you wake up, don’t immediately reach for coffee. Instead, have warm water with lemon.The lemon kick starts digestion (and your metabolism) and helps flush the liver.”
2. Green juice. After your lemon water, follow it up with a fresh green juice.
3. Cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol, and caffeine. Yes, this is quite a list. But if lemon water isn’t cutting it for you, consider the elimination-diet route, where you give your body a break from pumpkin pie. “All of these ingredients—and Thanksgiving favorites—can create a toxic buildup,”. Try cutting them from your diet for five to seven days after the holiday to reboot your system
4.Colonic. A colonic is the safe process of removing accumulated fecal matter, mucus and sludge and toxic build-up from the colon without the usig of drugs, by gently rinsing the colon with warm water.
it’s important to remember that if you overdo it at dinner, you must get back to a healthy eating plan the next day
• ⅔ cup unsweet almond milk
• ¼ cup egg whites
• 1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
• 1 tablespoon chia seed
• 1 teaspoon gluten-free pure vanilla extract
• 10 drops stevia or 2 tbsp xylitol (or other natural sweetener)
• ⅔ cup chickpea flour or coconut flour
• 1 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
Combine almond milk and chia and allow to sit for 10 minutes – this will get the chia all gelatinous and good for your digestion. Alternatively, allow the chia to soak overnight in the milk, then add to the recipe.
Preheat a small non-stick pan on medium-low heat for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then add to the wet ingredients.
Stir until just mixed.
Pour ¼ of the mixture into the preheated pan. Allow the first side to cook for 3-4 minutes, or until bubbles form and the edges begin to turn golden.
Flip and allow to cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Place completed pancake on cooling rack and repeat with remaining batter.
Serve with melted coconut oil, maple syrup, chopped apple and pecans.
This method of colonic targets dysbiosis, or the disturbance in the natural relationship between humans and their intestinal bacteria. In order to strengthen and develop this cohabitation, we use bacterial preparations, administered orally or rectally, in order to optimise the milieu of the large intestine.
Due to problems, such as poor nutrition, processed food, and an unhealthy lifestyle, environmental impacts, toxic medical substances, such as antibiotics, or psychological burdens, such as stress, the equilibrium of bacteria in the body is disrupted. The increasing use of antibiotics has a particularly negative effect, by preventing the body’s tissues from detoxifying correctly, including a slagging in the intermediate cell tissues, thickening and accumulation of protein in the lymph and surrounding areas, and decreased oxygen supply to the body’s tissues. As a result, the body’s tissues are unable to detoxify correctly.
The intestine is the most important organ of the immune system, with 80% of the lymph system residing in the walls of the small and large intestines, in the form of Peyer’s plaques. Thus, with intestinal inertia and the wrong intestinal flora, the defence forces weaken. The intestinal mucosa is the demarcating surface between the inner and outer parts of the intestine. In order to maintain proper health, this surface must remain intact. Taking into account all of the vital roles performed by the colon, it is of utmost importance to take proper care of this organ.
Fatigue, depression, loss of energy, lack of concentration, increased aggressiveness and negative psychological conditions can be the result of a poorly maintained intestine. Illnesses, such as susceptibility to infections, constipation, respiratory problems and sleep disturbances can also develop from the same cause. Chronic inflammation disorders, such as rheumatism, poly-arthritis, skin inflammations, psoriasis and acne are also consequences, as well as circulation disturbances, such as high blood pressure, migraines and other cardiovascular problems.
The majority of allergies are directly related to the non-functioning of the intestines, since the intestine, with its over 300m2 surface, is the largest mucous membrane surface of the human body. For this reason, most poisonous materials, absorbed by the body, pass through the intestines and are expelled through the intestines. The liver, kidney, lymph, lungs and skin surface are all secondary as organs of detoxification.
Stress, whether psychological or physical, affects the muscle tension of the intestines, leading to cramps and inflammatory changes of the intestinal mucosa, and even ulcerative colitis (colitis ulcerosa).
The main responsibility of the large intestine is absorption of water, minerals and vitamins. Another function is, as described above, the elimination of toxic material. In most cases, it is the intestinal bacteria, which lines the whole large
intestine like a fine film that distinguishes between what the intestines should eliminate or absorb. The large intestine is populated with several billion coli-bacteria and other bacteria, which synthesize vitamins, such as biotin, folic acid, nicotine acid and vitamin K, while preventing toxic material from being absorbed, and, above all, destroy foreign or disease-causing bacteria. The functional intestinal flora is irreplaceable for the absorption of vitally necessary amino acids, fatty acids and other trace elements.
A healthy nutrition is super important for high-functioning intestinal flora. Fort Langley colonics recommend a balanced, regular diet of whole, natural foods, including a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, legumes and whole grains. Animal proteins should be avoided as much as possible (should only be eaten one to two times a week), since they lead to increased rotting bacteria settling in the large intestine, which causes an increased inclination toward inflammation of the intestinal villi, rotting gases and unpleasant flatulence. Additionally, the consumption of carbohydrates, such as sugar and white flour products should be reduced as much as possible, since it can lead to an overproduction of mucous and acid inside the organism.
Contrary to normal enemas, the entire large intestine is treated using Colon Hydrotherapy. Filtered water, adapted to the comfort of the patient, is introduced into the rectum through an intestinal tube. Then, in a closed system, using low pressure, the water and dissolved intestinal contents are released through a discharge hose. All of this is accompanied by a massage of the lower abdomen.
The colonic successfully expels stagnant stool and rotten material, which has accumulated along the walls of the intestines over time. As a result, the overall functioning ability of the intestines increases considerably, thereby improving its detoxification ability.
Throughout the treatment, which generally takes 30-45 minutes, the patient remains relaxed, in a lying position, while enjoying a gentle massage of the lower abdomen.
Through this strong vegetative stimulus, the intestines begin to work again and peristalsis is promoted. In this way, colon hydrotherapy positively affects stool regulation and the functioning of the vegetative nervous system, extending far over the treatment cycle. The system used for this procedure is closed, and the treatment is completely clean.
After the colon irrigation, drink plenty of water, tea or bouillon to replace the fluids that were expelled through colonics.

Colonics and enemas are therapies that both involve introducing water into the colon through to rectum in order to cleanse the colon.But there are some key differences between colonics and enemas:
• Colon Hydrotherapy cleanse the entire length of the colon. Enemas cleanse only the lower part of the colon, the sigmoid and part of the descending colon.
• Colonics involve multiple infusions of water into the colon. Enemas involve a single infusion of water into a small portion of the colon creating more presser.
• With colonics, fecal matter leaves the body via a tube. The therapist and client does not smell the fecal matter during the session.
• At the end of the session, the client usually sits on a toilet, and usually passes any residual water and stools.
• An enema involves the one-time infusion of water. It sits in the lower part of the colon for a period of time, and then the person sits on the toilet.
• Colonics must be administered by a trained colon hydrotherapist and requires professional equipment.
• Enemas do not have to be administered by a professional. Disposable enema kits are available in drugstores and online.

If you’ve ever spoken with someone who has completed a colon cleanse you would KNOW what a difference it makes. You change the oil in your car every 5000 Km to maintain it – isn’t your body a greater value then a car?
Green smoothies are quick and easy to make and only require a blender, a sharp knife and cutting board. Making a delicious smoothie with a thick, creamy texture is an art. They are also an amazing preparation for Colon hydrotherapy.
Detox & Cleansing
All fruits and vegetables facilitate detox. Be sure to use only organic ingredients in your smoothie recipes, avoid animal products, dried foods and additional sweeteners during your detox and find a workout routine that works for you. When it comes to making the “ultimate” detox green smoothies, I use dandelion greens and citrus such as orange, grapefruit, lemon and lime.
If Need Sweetness
If you need a little sweetness to make it palatable, try adding a tablespoon of organic raw honey (keep it raw to keep the enzymes and nutrients in tact) or a few organic (pitted) dates. Just be mindful of how much sugar you’re adding. 6-10 drops of liquid stevia will also sweeten it up a bit without adding any extra sugar.
Colonics and enema are two very different things. Enemas use single, high volume fills, fatiguing the colon.
