Sofia considers any appointment that you have made with her, important. Your appointment is for your exclusive use and when it is cancelled with short notice or missed altogether, it is often too late or impossible to offer this time to someone else and the appointment time goes unfilled.

Our Cancellation Policy

full 48 hours notice is required for cancelling appointments.

If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment time, you will be billed for 100% of the scheduled value. This also applies to same-day bookings which are subsequently cancelled.

Clients who fail to show up for a scheduled appointment (“no show”), or at the arrival they refuse to follow the covid-19 guidelines,  are billed for the full cost of their scheduled session. As a courtesy, your appointments are confirmed electronically the day you book and again 72 hours before your scheduled appointment by email from our online appointment scheduling software because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago.  From this confirmation email, you have the option of the following without a charge:

  • reschedule/change/modify your appointment from your online account (link provided on the email);
  • cancel your appointment from your online account;
  • respond back by email with any changes or issues;
  • call our office number which is provided in the email for customer service;

Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to prevent any missed appointments which result in a cancellation fee.  Not receiving an electronic notification of your appointments from us the day before is not sufficient reason to miss an appointment if the original confirmation notification was received timely.  A link to automatically upload the appointment to your calendar is provided on every electronic confirmation.

There is a range of valid reasons for cancelling an appointment. In order to be consistent with all clients, cancellation fees will only be waived in the event of a medical emergency requiring urgent professional treatment (we will need a doctor’s note, given to us no late than 72 hours after the missing appointment, with date, time and the word emergency in it ), a death in the family or a natural disaster.

It is mutually understood that if a cancellation is due to circumstances beyond any of our control, such as a power outage, unfortunate incidence, or weather that requires you or us to have to cancel or be closed during regular business hours, we will reschedule your existing appointment and no discount or charges will apply.

If you have purchased a prepaid package and you cancel one of your prepaid sessions within less than 48 hours or miss the session, this session counts as having been used.

Clients who cancel 3 or more consecutive appointments or 4 or more appointments a year without 48 hours’ notice are asked to find a different colon hydrotherapist.

Any late arrival will shorten your appointment time and will not be made up by running into the next client’s scheduled appointment. If passed 15 minutes you will be charged a cancellation fee and there will not be enough time to proceed with your session.

All appointments must be held with a valid credit card at the time of booking.  A credit card hold transaction may be made on your credit card to reserve the appointment time.  Your credit card information is stored with full encryption.

Missed appointments and late cancellations are charged on your credit card. Sofia provides receipts marked “cancellation fee” or “missed appointment” and cannot mark such receipts as a “colon hydrotherapy session” as this constitutes fraud.

The 48-hour cancellation policy gives us time to inform our waitlist clients of any availability, as well as keep our staff schedules filled, thus better serving everyone.  Fort Langley Colonics are presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent service for our established and future clientele.

If you book an appointment and at your arrival, you refuse to follow the guidelines, a no-show fee will be charged to your credit card for the time scheduled for you. We consider that you received enough information to cancel your appointment with 48-hour notice. The guidelines are on your confirmation email and on our website and also several emails sent with the guidelines info.

Covid-19 cancellations due to symptoms or exposure to covid or any other communicable disease are cancelled without question, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment past 10 days or earlier with negative testing and no symptoms. A no-show fee still is charged and you can use it as a credit on the week immediately after the 10 days of exposure or contact trace (day, 11, 12, 13,14, 15, 16, 17). 

Late arrivals

Late appointments may not receive the full session time allowed for a colonic booked. If you arrive later than 15 minutes a cancellation fee is applied because there will be not enough time for a treatment and washroom time. Full payment is required.
